Greatest Ballad Songs By DIVAS - Part One (Pop Divas)

Now we are going to recall back some of our DIVAS best ballad songs. Ballad songs might be common for DIVAS such as Mariah, Whitney and of course Celine. For this part we would like to focus on Ballad songs that were sung by POP DIVAS. They may not have  GREAT voice compared to some DIVAS, but they do have some great materials.

  • Take A Bow - Madonna (1994)

Madonna best performing song on Billboard Hot 100 for the record of 7 weeks at number 1. Moreover, this is Madonna 11th number 1 single. So far this is Madonna best ballad song. Her vocal in this song is very soothing and smooth and suit the oriental pentatonics and strings instrumental. This song also featured Babyface as the male background vocal. Surprisingly, the combination of Madonna and Babyface vocal made this song such a PERFECT ballad. This songs speaks about a woman saying goodbye to her lover as she felt that she is being taken for granted by her lover. One thing that I like about this song, this song proves that Madonna can actually sing and put her emotion in a song. Totally one of the greatest ballad songs in the 90's. Take a spin then you will know why.

  • Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know - Britney Spears (2001)

Britney GREATEST ballad IMO. This is one of few Britney's songs that showcase her VOICE. Britney might not have a lung crashing voice like Whitney or Mariah. But Britney has a vocal style that is unique and recognizable. She knows how to optimize her limited range by stylize her vocal according to the song mood. This is probably Britney hardest song ever. This song is co-written by Shania Twain and also one of Britney all time favorite song. This songs speaks about desperately wanting her lover to say they he needs her all the way and he loves her and don't want her to be the last to know. This song might be a ballad, but is also a catchy song with pop and country vibe. Believe me, you will love this song.

TheDivaJuice: Personally, the reason why I chose those song is because, BOTH DIVAS are pop DIVAS and are well known for their dance pop oriented songs. Not many people are aware that they are also a SINGER. Frankly, they do have some great ballad songs.

Part two will continue with more ballads songs from other DIVAS.
