Single Review: Glee Covers Mariah's All I Want For Christmas Is You

The Glee is back to rock our festive season this year with their latest covers of Christmas Classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You. This is the first time The Glee Cast covers Mariah Carey song, and I'm really glad they did. This new version by Glee is going to be released on their upcoming Christmas Album.



Thank God, finally I can get over and move on from The Bieber Nightmare Version of All I Want For Christmas Is You. This new version by Glee still sticks to the original version arrangement. But of course with the Glee twist in it. What I like about this version is, All I Want for Christmas Is You is already a classic song, so by doing a whole lot new arrangement will don't do justice for this song. This song already have the festive spirit it in and the Glee manage to maintain it and bring it to a whole new level and I like it.


The song starts with Amber singing the opening verse similar to the original version. Soon after the chorus kicks in, the drum beat, the background vocal harmonize the song and the way Amber Riley sings, it sounds great. She still sticks to the original key score and only change and add certain run/riff and sings in her own way.


Its a good thing that Amber doesn't push herself to sound like Mariah, instead she sounds like herself and does run/riff according to her own vocal limit. One of a good thing about this new version by Glee is the simplicity of the arrangement oppose to the Bieber' version that has lot of electro thingy and autotune kinda things.


So, as a fan of Glee and also Mariah, I highly recommended this song.. Go and get this song on Itunes or whatever. It worth buying.. Wow I guess Mariah is going to racks more and more money during this festive season. With the original version alone is going to top digital charts around the world, plus with Glee, Bieber, Michael Buble etc.. She is going to make serious MONEY... lucky her...
