Adele's Still On Top of Aussie Charts
After more than six months since the release date of Adele's second album "21" , it continues to TOP major music charts in Australia and KICK other singers Ass from taking her crown.
The British soul DIVA responsible for hits such as "Chasing Pavements" and "Rolling in the Deep" is still the queen of the charts with her sophomore record "21." The songs, which draws from Adele's own life, are still currently on top of ARIA charts for 15 weeks and they seem to be going strong. It has already sold 420,000 units in the country alone, making it six times platinum - a historic feat for someone who also has another album in the top 5 position. This kind of achievement doesn't happen too often, especially for an up and comer like Adele.
Adele's first release, "19," is sitting pretty at the no.5 position in the ARIA charts despite being released in 2008. Other albums who share the ARIA top 5 spots are Kanye West and Jay-Z's "The Throne," and Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black". Aussie rockers Eskimo Joe debuted at the no. 3 spot with their album "Ghosts of the Past," which includes hits such as "Foreign Land" and "Sky's on Fire."
Ps: 21 already sold more than 3,000,000 copies is USA and on the verge to be certified 12 x Platinum in UK for sale surpassing 3,600,000 copies. Currently the album sold more than 10,000,000 copies WORLDWIDE ya'll. It made her the Best Selling Artist for the year 2010 and 2011. Guess I need to get her album too.
