"She Is Going To Sound Like Shit", Linda Perry Dissed Katy Perry

Here'a a message from one Perry to another: You suck!

Linda Perry—the legendary 4 Non Blondes rocker turned hit songwriter for Pink, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and countless other young pop stars—is picking the worst of the worst in modern-day music and says over-the-top Katy Perry is the worst offender in music today.

What's she saying about the "I Kissed a Girl" singer?

Well, basically Linda's had just about enough of her crap music—and says her younger namesake (no relation or that would just be odd) is only interested in churning out fast hits that she compares to junk food.

Linda sat down with music journalist Heath Daniels to discuss her Katy diss and tells him how the music industry has changed over the past 20 years.

"It's just different, it's different," Linda says. "You listen to the Adele record, and I'm not a huge fan of Adele, it's a solid record. A solid record, and it's selling. OK? so that means people are still buying records. It's the crap, like who wants a f--king Katy Perry record? I'm sorry, you know? You're gonna get the two songs that are probably the hits that are good, but the rest of the album is gonna be crap."

Apparently not, considering Katy just tied a Michael Jackson record for five No. 1 singles off the same album.

"It is," she went on. "It's going to sound like s--t and who cares about buying that record? So people download the single and then that's it."

When Daniels asks if there will be any covers of "Teenage Dream" coming from Linda, she actually looks disgusted.

"No, there will not be," she says.

But it's not all Katy hate coming from Linda—she gives the "Firework" singer some props, although we're not sure what she's saying can actually be considered a compliment.

"I'm not saying Katy is bad," she says. "She's great for what she does. But she's not reinventing the wheel, she's not giving substance. She's just giving, you know, microwave popcorn for you to feast on right at this moment. You know, that's it. And that's what she wants to do obviously. She's not looking to change the world musically, she's not. So all the power to her and everybody that is like that. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying, it's not what I participate in. But that is part of the reason why the music business is in turmoil, so to say."

TheDivaJuice: Partly agree, but at the same time, Katy Perry music is kinda fun to listen too. By the way, Linda music incomparable to Katy of course. Try listen to Lift Me Up, written by her for Christina Aguilera , then you know what I mean.
