Why Camila Cabello Will Flop

Camila might not need no intro, but since her high profile departure from Fifth Harmony she was on full drive. Epic Records the label where she's signed to is certainly putting coins in almost every platform to promote her. After the mid-size hit with Shawn Mendes and a decent top 10 hits with Machine Gun Kelly, it is logically understandable for Epic to make her as one of the label top priority.

However, some mighy say that it is too early to judge. But for some reason, many unable to see her as a superstar, judging from her highly publicized Billboard Music Award 2017 show. She made it clear that the main reason for her breaking up with the 5th Harmony is to get opportunity to write songs and be herself as an artist.

For someone wanting to express herself through songwriting really contradict themself by ending up singing Sia penned song. Yes, we do notice that Camila is also enlisted as the writer of the song. But we are certain that we do not know how far was her contribution in regards to the song. Sia signature styling in term of melody and vocal arrangement  was stamped all over the song and at this point we dont know who Camila is as an artist. Does she wanted to be the next Sia-esque type of singer or she has her own signature sound.

It is important as a new singer to established your own sound in order to be unique and indentifiable. Megan Trainor upon her debut successfully created her own unique sound and style hence her debut album success.

If Crying in The Club (her latest single) destined to fail (as of speaking already out of iTunes top 100) it will be a turning point in her career. If Epic really rooting for her, they un-questionably will put more money to promote the next singles until she can find a hit that is strong enough to warrant an album release.

But if Epic focus shifted from her and into Fifth Harmony which will drop their latest Pop & urban-esque single in just 2 days. Then it is safe to say that Camila singing career will be shortlived. If 5th Harmony singles and album are doing well, Epic will certainly putting more money and focus to where the money is.

Nevertheless, Camila will hop from one sound to another until she can find her hit. We wish her all the best, and if this is the career path that she has chose, we hope that she can achieve longevity.
