Single Review: Spirit Indestructible by Nelly Furtado

Pro: Great beats and melody. Plus the vocal arrangement really suits the emotion and flow of the song. Vocally, Nelly might not have BIG VOICE but in this song, there is improvement in her vocal. She is not afraid to utilize her unique voice and sounds with confidence. I do think this song is NEAR PERFECT in term of the production cause everything are done in proportion and and not excessive.


This song infuse the heavy use of instrument and there are many different of use of instrument that give this song a WORLD MUSIC feel.

Cons: Her nasal tone might turn off some people (subjected to personal musical preference. Her belting sounds throaty buy yet I stills find it unique. 

PS: Personally LIKE Nelly cause she isn't afraid to experiment with her sounds and always challenge herself with new sounds and approach. She is a musician who's really took time and make a good record. (12 years - 5 albums), Rihanna: 7 years, 6 albums.

Mariah isn't counted as Mariah doesnt TOUR that much so she has PLENTYYYY of time to record. Rihanna is non STOP, singles BACK TO BACK, TOUR, ALBUM etc.
