Simon Cowell On Mariah Joining X Factor

Which we kind of already figured, but it's nice to hear him say it all the same.

Simon Cowell was at the TCA this morning to talk about the upcoming American edition of The X Factor. One reporter asked him to talk a little bit about Mariah Carey and how she might play a role in the show as there were rumors she was once in consideration for a judge position. Simon replied:

"She's been very enthusiastic about the show, but then she selfishly got pregnant, which is why she didn't end up as a judge."

He wouldn't add any further information, namely how and when Mimi will be joining the show, but really, it doesn't matter. Just knowing she'll be bringing her diva love to the screen again is enough for us. We'll just sit back patiently and wait for the magic to begin!

Oooh! Who else can we get as a mentor on the show? Anyone U'd like to see???

Ps: Can wait to see MC mentoring the contestants. She has so much to offer.
